写真の400/2.8はPhotokina用の特別生産品だったようです。

Thank you for the E-mail of Oct.-15-2001 regarding
the Ai Nikkor  400/2.8S ED.
We are sorry for our long delay in reply.

Through the long time chasing the record of this lens,
we have found that this lens was specially made for
Photo cina in 1984 as a specimen of reference.
Therefore, it was not released into the market as
its looking.
About a year later this lens was officially released
with different appearance that is exactly the same as
current one.

No, this was only for the show. The released version
was only one.
